①BA020101.mp3 It's 3:15 in the afternoon and half the office just stepped out for a coffee break. Your eyelids are starting to close and 7-11 is just around the corner. A soda or a bag of chips would be just the thing to perk you up. So you, too, go out for an afternoon snack. Sometimes we eat simply because everyone else is doing it. Other times we eat when we feel tired, bored or depressed. Snacking for the wrong reasons can lead to overeating and an unhealthy diet. Of course, there are times when our bodies relly need extra energy. Here are four tips to keep your snacking on the right track. Know why you're eating. Using food to change your feelings can be a dangerous habit. An order of french fries might distrct you from feeling sad for a while, but it's only a temporary cure. Once the fries are gone, the problem is still there. If you're feeling lonely, don't reach into the refrigerator. Call a friend. If you're feeling stressed, take a 10-minute walk.
一、空中英语教室 2002-1-2 ========================= ②BA020102.mp3 Find a healthy pick-me-up. If you're truly hungry, a healthy snack can give you the boost of energy you need. If you like fresh foods, bring a small bag of tomatoes or apple slices to work with you. To tame your sweet tooth, try a handful of dried fruit. A serving of nuts can be a perfect pick-me-up. They have the right combination of nutrients to give you the energy you need. But wait until you're hungry to find something to eat. Plan ahead and bring something healthy with you. Eat just one serving. Don't open up a whole box of crackers and start munching away. Instead, pull out just one serving and put away the box. Think of snacks as mini-meals. Eating small, healthy snacks can keep you from stuffing yourself at the next meal. Instead of eating three big meals each day, split them into four or five mini-meals. You may actually eat less food overall. Use these tipes to help you plan snacks ahead of time. The next time you have a snack attack, tame your hunger the healthy way.

③BA020103.mp3
What's the recipe for writing a winning movie script? Start with a good guy-someone with small beginning but big dreams. Give him a strong personality that won't quit. As he chases his goals, put tough challenges into his life. Fill the story with excitement, adventure, plus a few unexpected twist. When the good guy finally beats the odds and succeeds, you have a happy ending. Is this the recipe for a Hollywood hit? It could be. But it's also the real-life story of actor Cuba Gooding Jr. Cuba Gooding Jr. was born in New York City on January 2, 1968. Cuba's father sang in a music group, and the family never had much money. In 1972, the family's luck changed. His Father's group got a hit single on the radio. Almost overnight, the family had lots of money. but sadly, the good times didn't last. Cuba's parents soon divorced, and his dad disappeared with most of the money. The rest of Cuba's childhood wasn't easy. He relied on his determination and faith in God to stay positive and motivated.

At 16 years of age, Cuba won the chance to dance onstage with singer Lionel Ritchie at the 1984 Olympic Games. This was Cuba's first taste of the spotlight, and he loved it. Right then he decided he wanted to be an actor. After finishing high school, Buba headed to Hollywood and struggled for several years. He scraped by with money he made from doing TV comercials and working at a fast-food restaurant. Finally a break came in 1991 when he landed a lead role in the film Boyz'N the Hood. Boyz'N the Hood took a serious look at black gang culture in America. Critics praised the film, and it made a lot of money. More importantly for Cuba, it established him in Hollywood as a proven actor. Boyz'N the Hood was certainly a big break for cuba, but it wasn't big enough to make him a major star. Even after his success, further acting opportunities remained scarce. Hollywood still didn't have many challenging head roles for black actors.
