11/10/2003. Ajax youngster Rafael van der Vaart has revealed his dream move
would be to Barcelona
The 20-year-old Dutch international has recently been linked with Manchester
United, which he describes as an "honour", but he'd rather move to Spain if
he was to leave Ajax.
Van der Vaart is expected to remain with the Eredivisie leaders until the en
d of the season, but Ajax may then be forced to cash in on one of their most
highly-rated stars.
Regarding the reports linking him with Old Trafford he said: "Those are rumo
urs and the club has not spoken to me, but it is an honour for me. I like it
.
"Manchester United are a big club and when you hear that they want you to pl
ay there it is an honour."
